This was our family’s favorite stop. The lodge was perfectly located and the shuttle into Aspen was amazing. Really had an enjoyable time!

Heater temp was not controllable. I do not think I should have paid for this room with 82-85 degrees and had to leave door open to get kids sleep. They finally slept at 4am. Very much sick of lack of slepp.

Boring. Outdated. Get an elevator already! But our biggest problem was the front desk speaking so RUDELY to me when he called about us bring 45 min “late” checking out. You’d think the Royal family was coming in next for our room! Which they WOULD NEVER! Requested late checkout at checkin. That’s not good enough for this poorly managed place. THEY insist you call EARLY in the morning to request a late checkout. The whole point of a late check off is to SLEEP later — which we needed very much due to the altitude affecting our ability to sleep at all for 2 nights in a row. Lousy attitude at front desk and “hotel policy” as their excuse, will guarantee WE WILL NOT BE BACK!

Pros. 1. The hotel is overall clean 2. Lots of wood furniture drawers although it doesn't benefit any guest who stays for a night or few days. 3. Security safe. Dont' see a lot of benefits of it. Cons 1. There was no microwave in the room which is a must these days for a hotel. The reason given was that it is a hazard. Only a common microwave in the laundry room or the lobby was provided as if that is not a hazard :) 2. There was no AC in the room. Upon request a long list of unacceptable reasons was given like being eco-friendly, million dollars expense, other hotels except few don't have it either, September doesn't get so hot like this year so we don't need it and so on. 3. Most hotels have restarted free or paid breakfast but this hotel is saving few dollars for themselves by not providing it. 4. The most amazing thing was that I was given two room fans because my wife and kids were feeling very hot and when I said I don't feel safe to keep window open to put the fan on the window, I was told that this area was pretty safe. I was going to ask "then why do you have the security safe" but I kept quiet to avoid arguments :)

Great location, about 15 minutes outside of Aspen. The beds are so comfortable and very clean room. Great family location.

Great family hotel only complaint was room was incredibly hot in evenings. For the price incredibly great bargain!
