Beautiful views, amazing amenities, a perfect little get away for the family with every thing you need to bbq or just relaxing in your own jacuzzi! The grounds are full of flowers and plants, the views are gorgeous! The staff helpful!

A gem of a find near Fort Ross. A family road trip with our two dogs. Last day was Fort Bragg to SF. This was a beautiful surprise. Clean rooms with partially enclosed back patio area looking out at ocean. Beautiful open grass space with trails leading to bluffs. Kind, accommodating staff.

Fort Ross Lodge is fairly remote along the winding, scenic stretch of Highway 1 a bit north of Fort Ross itself. It is located right off the highway so there is some road noise in rooms facing the PCH. There is a little market located across the street with limited hours, availability (basic groceries and microwave options), and resultantly high prices. Dining options in the area are fairly limited overall. Room did have a freestanding heater/stove (not pet or child friendly) and kitchenette (small fridge, microwave, sink, and basic dishes/cutlery/dish towel) to work with. Sadly, the hot tub/pool area was not open to the great disappointment of our entire family. Some rooms are pet friendly, but the patio is not fully enclosed so pets cannot be let outside safely on their own. The grounds a bit wild which matches the environment. Overall, upkeep is adequate but not fancy and the rates do not reflect this reality. We definitely overpaid (almost $1000 for two nights including hidden pet fees) for what we encountered. Fort Ross has great potential to be a cozy little spot with a bit better maintenance, amenities, and pricing.
