Best Western John Jay Inn

When I first arrived to the property I could see an abandoned building that was closed off by only a fence. My wife and I were greeted by the front desk staff as she was polite. We were given a handicap room next to the ice machine and elevator. I asked to be switched and front desk was nice enough to switch us rooms to the third floor. upon getting out of the elevator on the third floor, I notice an awful smell like mold which was generating from the third floor hallway. Once we were inside the room, I noticed that the bathroom wall had a hole in it, the wall mount for the shower curtain was almost falling off, the desk chair was dirty and stained, as well as the other chair next to the television was stained as well. I was about to sit down on the sofa where I noticed that the sofa was also stained and was very dirty. I opened the window and there was no screen as that is a hazard if there are any children wanting to open the window. The rooms are advertised on the internet depicted in a way to attract customers but once you get into the room it is very different. I will be calling Expedia for a refund I highly recommend that you do not stay here.

Loved it, they called me since I was running late. When we arrived it was around 11pm only to find our TV not working, not good since i have 2 little ones wanting to watch tv after a long car ride.
