GreenTree Inn & Suites in Pinetop

The reviews on Hotel.com were very good but they were so far from the truth… When we got to the hotel at 2:40 pm after a 450 mile motorcycle trip, there was no one at the front desk… after a 10 minutes wait a kid sitting in the bar area yelled to his mom stating there were some people waiting at the front desk, someone showed up… no apology, no nothing… we asked to check in and it was 10 minutes before 3:00 pm… looks from the parking lot and people in the lobby and bar area, it was obvious that the hotel was not busy. Front desk person said she will charge us $35 extra because we wanted to check in early… 10 minutes!!! Really??!! No smiling faces, no polite conversations, nothing… I didn’t spend one minute more than I had to and checked out real early… not going back for sure…

Our 4 bed pillows were too hard and at least 6 inches high. My husband and I could not sleep on them. We've traveled in hotels throughout America and other countries and this has never occurred. The next day the young man at the front desk said he would ask housekeeping if other pillows were available. He called me later to tell me different pillows had been placed in our room. He was very polite and cared about our comfort. Also, toilet was leaking in our bathroom. There was a stain where the water dripped, so it had been leaking for at least a few weeks or longer. Pool and pool area was very relaxing and our grandchildren loved it. We were able to hang out and just relax. Breakfast and guest service was great. We stayed for 2 nights and noticed that dining area and adjoining bar area seemed to be a good place to sit and relax. Would like to suggest crackers be an item available for purchase. Even plain soda crackers.

I didn’t get to stay and they wouldn’t refund me. I was traveling from Albuquerque NM to Chandler AZ. It started snowing like crazy from Gallup to Holbrook I didn’t want to continue the drive as it was 9pm and I had my 2 kids with me. I called the hotel, the receptionist was rude as I told her we wouldn’t make it. She said I had to call Expedia and hung up. I called Expedia and they told me the Hotel wouldn’t refund my money because the roads were drivable. I lost out on $100 because I didn’t want to risk the lives of myself and my kids to drive another 2hrs to pinetop to have the room for the night. Horrible service!

Early morning we requested an upper story room due to having a newborn traveling with us and we’re told it wasn’t promised. We checked in and they gave us bottom floor next to the “new years party area” COMPLETE OPPOSITE of our asking. I wasn’t allowed to check in until after 4. I was told 3pm and tried to check in and instead got sent away due to rooms “not being done” so we had to find something to do with our newborn and anxious toddler. 1130pm there was so much noise and my wife called check in asking for any possible way to change rooms due to our newborn being unable to sleep. My wife said we requested this morning an upstairs due to our kids and being new years we knew it would be too loud downstairs. The lady said “you talked to me this morning about a room I’m the general manager” well why couldn’t you accommodate? Luckily someone didn’t show up so we got a suite but we should’ve been accommodated from the beginning.

Less than 2 minutes after I arrived in my room a man who was another guest was able to use a key to access my room. We went to the front to find out why a stranger was given access and why my key I was just given no longer worked. The girl at the front desk said oh, just give her your keys I just rekeyed it. Why? Because without checking she just gave a stranger access. She was completely unbothered at her error and didn't care about putting myself and young son in danger. When I asked her to check who was registered in the room because what she did was a huge deal, especially considering she was the one who checked me in 3 minutes previously. She didn't care she placed us in danger and was more interested in cleaning her gaudy rings. Horrible woman, terrible customer service and ability to observe the most simple things. No extra pillows, no tissues in empty box left in bathroom, ice machine broken. Oh yeah and if you're traveling alone with a child they will put your lives in danger and not even acknowledge or apologize. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!

Everything was as expected. Breakfast lady was very nice & helpful. Rooms were very clean. all staff were friendly. I would stay if up that way again. It was enjoyable. My family felt at ease there. THANKS

what a wonderful oasis for our trip to visit with family! We'd stay there again

Room was clean and we slept great. Staff was friendly but unfortunately not that helpful. Our tv wasn’t working and they couldn’t fix it. Also, the pool was closed. Not the end of the world but when you select a hotel based on what amenities they have, you have disappointed children when they were looking forward to swimming. Then a double disappointment when they couldn’t watch tv instead.

Hotel is under construction, no pool, we were given the keys to a room that was dirty or had guests in it and the Managers kid was "helping" at the front desk, sitting on the counter and left to attend the morning register til left on the counter with cash as she walked away to resolve the room issue. Hot water was only about 10 minutes in the shower. I was kind of shocked and embarrassed

The front desk clerk was very judgemental and nonprofessional toward me and my family. I have stayed here plenty of times and been treated like this before.
