Pike's Waterfront Lodge

The staff at Pike's were phenomenal! EVERYONE was friendly, helpful, and offered lots of helpful hints for viewing the Northern Lights. The breakfast that Pike's offered was absolutely delicious, the ice cream bar everyone night was such a fun treat, and the wake up call if the Northern Lights were out was Outstanding! The shuttle service to and from the airport was perfect and appreciated! I would stay there again and recommend Pike's to family and friends.

Great lodge with dining and aurora viewing room. Nice things for the kids, sledding, smores kits. Great breakfast. Staff is wonderful.

The hotel is great and I would stay there again. The hotel is close to the airport, what is convenient. The shuttle service worked great for me. There is a river in front of the hotel and a hill so people can sliding down in the winter (kids loved it). They also have fire pits outside and you can make some marshmallows there. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. I will not give 5 stars only because the breakfast was good, but there was the same options every day. But, my experience there was great and I would stay there again.

This property is definitely a family-friendly property. If you do not have kids, maybe look somewhere else. Things are a bit noisy from 8:30 am to 10:00 pm, with kids running around, doors slamming and families in the lobby. The property was GORGEOUS and the staff was INCREDIBLY kind and helpful, regardless of who I talked to.

Great family place.

We loved this place. The kids loved being there and we were able to see the northern lights from here too. It was the perfect spot to stay at and the breakfast is amazing. It honestly kept us full til an early dinner. The staff were awesome and we enjoyed the dollar ice cream at night. Definitely recommend this place. We would love to go back someday.

Loved the cabin. No slamming doors or kids running up and down the halls.

Pike's Waterfront Lodge is a unique property--with a lobby built of giant varnished logs and a huge ceiling, with nice rooms or even cabins, and lots of lobby/coffee/bar area for family and friends to gather. There is $1 icecream every night, a movie room with an Aurora Borealis movie, library, billiards, other games, fireplaces outside, and it goes on and on. There is a well-liked restaurant on the property right by the Chena River (with an area of sufficiently quiet sports TV at the bar)--and other areas to dine in. This is a location from which the Iditorad had to leave from due to weather conditions three times, and there are pictures and a repeating video on that. There are interesting paintings all over the property worth looking at--and other items of interest. The staff is helpful and lovely. The morning breakfast buffet would usually be sufficient for anyone. Lots of children having a good time. Fourth time we have stayed there. THANK YOU TO THE STAFF! YOU'RE LOVELY.

Loved the stay for an overnight family trip. Wonderful activities around the hotel and the Alaskan art collection is very interesting to explore all throughout.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The kids had a blast and we were able to see the aurora borealis! We loved their free breakfast every morning. The potatoes were delicious and the waffles were so yummy. We loved that there was a conservatory and game room. The whole experience was perfect. We would definitely recommend this plans and will hopefully be back again sometime in the future.
