Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Opelika

My first solo away from home without any animals or kids, four days. First night was not bad then follow me nights you don't hear nothing but door slamming people stomping above me. Told front desk on the second night they did nothing to offer any comfort.. by the third night the doors were still slamming and then I smelt marijuana went down and told front desk all she did was come up walk the hallway and went back down. When I checked in I asked for the 4th floor they said they didn't have nothing, so they put me across the hall from housekeeping door very noisy during the day you cannot take a nap all you hear is trash cans. My last night there I was searching everywhere for ear plugs had to put towels under the door the staff was not very accommodating one particular day I asked for clean towels did not want no one going in my room so they said I had to take the sign off the door and they would bring up some towels I waited 3 hours, all I wanted to do was go to the pool. They never came so I had to go and hunt them down. Then there was one guest lady that just hung out in the lobby for about 3 days I don't think she had money for the room but they let her just hang out there?? Long story short I will never book there again thanks for nothing

The room was good for our family (my wife my two boys and me). It was located in the 4th floor. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast (included). The only issue was that the elevator some time stop working and we have to use the stairs.

Great experience for my children and me!

There were two bus loads of kids that came in. These kids were running up the hall screaming and yelling we couldn't sleep. We called the front desk twice they would not do anything we had to leave the hotel and go sleep somewhere else

People were at the pool with an open case of beer and loud music…very poor Not very family oriented with the open and loud music….poor standards.

The sofa bed was terrible. Even a child could not sleep on the mattress. These need to be replaced badly. There were only 3 towels in bathroom and 4 people staying in the room.

We arrived quite late in the evening due to a difficult flight and rental car experience. We were so tired. Dana at the front desk could not have been more attentive. First, she upgraded us to a larger room to accommodate us (since we had requested a roll away previously). We had not eaten dinner and she advised us of where we could get a late night meal and gave us directions. In conversation I mentioned it was my child's birthday and when we returned (at 1am) from "dinner" we found a hand-made birthday card under the room door! In addition, she made sure we had lots of extra blankets/pillows and towels for our entourage. We stayed for 3 days and the staff (Tai, Sam and all of them) could not have been nicer, more responsive and helpful. The hotel is clean, basic but attractive and pleasantly near many amenities.
