Ty Hotel Milford Waterfront

Super friendly check-in with advice given on activities locally, which was helpful. We had a family room for 3 or us, which was very generous in size. Massive double bed, although our son is 15, so although a "child" the pull-out bed for him was narrow and short, but he managed. Great size balcony, although it would have been nice to have a couple of chairs out there - I dragged one from the room, although it was quite heavy! The doors to the balcony were quite dirty and a previous guest had graffiti'd on them! The bathroom was lovely and clean. We ate at the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious. Between us we had the chicken, a steak and fish, with beautiful artisan bread to start. All-in-all a great stay and would very happily book again.

We could hear the noise of walking on the above floor, couldn’t sleep, considering we paid the high end rent for the room which was water front and balcony. It wasn’t a sound proof ceiling. We had breakfast included but when we came downstairs on our scheduled time which was booked by the receptionist, there was barely food left and when we asked about to have more food as it was buffet, staff said they were not able to make it for us and we had 4 years old son with us he wanted to have breakfast and there was not any cereals and kids meal. Everything was almost finished. Inspite of being too expensive didn’t have a great experience in the hotel. Would never go back there and would advise my friends and family not to go there at all.

Whole family stayed here for brothers wedding - couldn't fault it - great hotel.

I travelled on my own as come to visit family i stayed for 3 nights i loved it and Charlie on reception was very kind and helpful.I sat in the bar in the evening and felt very comfortable.I will definitely be staying here again.

Very disappointed with this hotel as had booked a three night stay. Had to leave after one night as a family member was rushed into hospital. Despite the hotel receptionist saying I am sure there will not be a problem with refunding the remainder of the stay under the circumstances the management have since changed their mind and said they will not refund any part of it. Also there is no flexibility when booking the hotel on being able to cancel and the full amount of the stay is required weeks before or whenever you make the booking. Will not stay again at this greedily run hotel.

Family trip - booked a double and a family/twin. One room clearly hadn't been cleaned well as there were Coke bottles left from previous guest and the extra beds in the family room were terrible. A standard twin didn't seem to be offered but the rooms simply aren't large enough to take extra beds and it was like sleeping on the floor. Breakfast and service were very good but hotel needs to sort a few teething issues.

Stayed here for two nights with partner and two toddlers. Family room was upgraded without any hassle which was wonderful and catered to our needs. We had 1 night on top floor with balcony & ocean and marina view which was beautiful and is definitely worth paying the extra for that experience. Would definitely return again.

Main issue was around the 'superior' family room which we booked - turned out it's pretty much just like a normal family room but more expensive - I had presumed the difference was a balcony or better view - in reality the check in desk clerk said it was a slightly larger room - which i'd struggle to believe given it's size and a better view - the corner of the marina. The 'family room' is also not setup for that purpose - it's actually a double room with bed side tables moved and extra beds placed on very lowlying floor mattress(es). Hotel was clean, brand new and bed comfortable, fan as other reviews indicate was quite loud and you're unable to turn off.
