The Royal Victoria Hotel

Stayed for a couple of days to see snowdonia. The positives- staff were attentive at reception and the bar. The bar lounge is clean and the food was good. The hotel is brilliantly located for the llanberis path up snowdon. Negatives- we stayed in the coach house and it really needs some love. The rooms looked recently renovated and were fine. Although the cleaning needed a little more care (hairs in the loo and sink). The hallway needed redecorating and was run down. Biggest issue was that the walls were paper thin. We had guests above us and their child was running laps. It felt like they may come through the floor. The floors creaked whenever people were in other rooms. The room next door closed their door and our bed shook. I did not have good sleep for any night we stayed because of this. Breakfast was a bit mediocre. Sausages were not pleasant and far below a premier inn. The main issue was how loud the rooms were. It would greatly benefit from having the upper coach house rooms having their floors boarded and better insulation.

Was attending a family wedding it was a great venue and lovely setting the scenery from bedroom window just wonderful. Food was really lovely and staff was great and helpful.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location ideal for our short trip. The reception staff were very helpful. My evening meal was enjoyable but unfortunately my son”s pizza was only half eaten and disappointing with dry chicken pieces and the cheese had an unfamiliar taste. Breakfast was nice. I had a problem with a blind in my bedroom that fell off but I was able to fix back by standing on a chair. The views from the room were lovely. I stayed with my 12 year old son and am very grateful the hotel allowed children to stay as I was rather shocked other hotels in the village banned children. I would stay at this hotel again.
