We stayed in 5 different hotels/STRs while we backpacked Scotland. This was our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. The hotel is centrally located to the famous sites on Skye, the hotel has a vintage feel with gorgeously remodeled and expansive rooms, and the staff was incredible. Marion and Martin greeted my sisters and me with smiles and jokes both mornings we were there and gave us hugs when we left. The hotel restaurant (Harta) was so good. Very upscale food and the service was amazing. I will be returning with my husband and kids because they now want to go to Scotland too!

Initially check in was a bit chaotic. Some IT thing. But overall a good central and beautiful location. The sofa bed should be used only by children. Not a good option for adults.

The hotel rooms were great! Good size and nice bathroom. However if you have the family room the pull out bed was very unformattable and only one child could fit on it because of the mattress. Also the breakfast was very basic.

This was a very unique hotel - an older building with updated amenities. We stayed in the pinnacle suite which was a huge space with separate sleeping area which was nice for travelling with children. It has a nice large bathtub and shower and heated towel racks. The food was pretty decent and breakfast included.

What a wonderful stay! The room was large and fit a family of 4 well. The hotel has charm and views to die for. Beautiful hiking right off the grounds of the hotel. Food in the main dining was amazing, for dinner and breakfast, and all the people working couldn’t have been kinder! We were at Seamus’ bar the second night, and a ceilidh started!!! It was an amazing place! We are usually not the type of people to go back to a place more than once but this would absolutely be an exception! We cannot wait to go back!

View was amazing, bedroom was clean & comfortable. However we're in room 18 & above is a family room with hard flooring, we had a complaint on both nights of our stay at the.noise above! We know kids make anoise but furniture being moved around banging & jumping loud talking till 2 on the morning! The house keeper.told us that its hard flooring aobe room 18 so everthing echo's! We had to ask for toilet roll, coffee, milk & shower gel as the main housekeeper had a day off & our room wasnt turned over correctly . Bed not made , no clean glasses or coffee cups. Kettle in dark cupboard dangerously. Meal at night expensive & not the best either portions or taste even the bar man commented on the Shepherds pie not being great as the kitchen wasnt up to scratch! Breakfast 1st day full Scottish, haggis & black pudding very tasteless & dry bean freezing cold & potatoes scone missing.

Just loved this hotel. However, we were disappointed that there was no billiard table, which was pictured and listed. Also the family room does not have a second bed, it was a foldout out mattress on the floor. However, the staff, Sam and Marian, were amazing, and the salmon breakfast was fabulous , and the trails all around the hotel made the experience great.

The staff at Sligachan always treat us right! We feel like family here. It’s a great location in between Portree and Broadford and a great base for all your points of interest on Skye. Beautiful location. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
