Parklands Hotel & Country Club

We had a one night stop over while visiting family in Scotland and selected the Parklands Hotel as it was ideally place between Glasgow and Aire. The hotel was lovely. Our bedroom was spacious and everywhere was spotlessly clean. In fact probably the cleanest hotel we've stayed in in quite a while. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely. We would most definitely book the Parklands Hotel again.

We had a great day! The hotel itself is great and the food was fantastic. The only reason for not giving full 5 stars was that when we arrived the said “no kids in the pool after 6, so go in the morning” which was fine but when we went to take them in the morning the told us kids aren’t allowed in the morning either!! They were disappointed..

The staff were family-like, and the hotel was so friendly and clean. could not find anything wrong. will stay again when in that area

Stayed whilst visiting family locally. Nice big rooms and bathroom also.

The welcome from the receptionist was lovely and friendly and gave a really good impression for the hotel. The room was very clean and lovely. The food, wine and cocktails were excellent. The hairdryer needed replacing and reception quickly dealt with it and sent up a new one. The only thing we didnt like was the children being allowed in the spa area and pool as it made it impossible to relax with the constant dunking each other and play fighting in the pool and personally despite being a parent I dont agree with children being allowed in the hydro pool. Also the design of the hydropool needs looking at because when you are in both the bubble jacuzzi parts and someone is under the shower taps you get a spray of water in the face the entire time which is not relaxing!

First off the property is nothing like is shown in the pictures but I will explain the journey of me and my partner. Avoid and do not recommend for anything leisure related. This was our 1 year anniversary and we thought instead of going to Apex or Hilton which we both agree are 4 star experiences, we would try something that was also in the 4 star range. We drive and the first thing we see is kids running in and out of a community centre, we thought we where in the wrong place, we then realised that it was attached to the hotel, the hotel is actually at the back of the community centre. First thing coming to reception we are greeted by staff that aren’t engaged and the first thing they ask for is a £20 deposit… the nightmare begins here. Upon entering the room we discover some shocking stuff, the draws where filled with plastics from previous guess and our pillows where filled with hair and dust which was shocking, the carpets are worn out and the bed consisted of a king size base and two matrices connected together leaving a big hole in the middle. After we decided that this was a mistake we thought to give the place another chance, after all the staff did come to give us new pillows and take out the trash (most 4 star hotels would have apologised sincerely and given us a new and upgraded room or compensation), the bathrooms we new and modern and the toiletries where cheap but aright. Then nightmare round two came, the term “country club”…

Excellent from start to finish. Reception was welcoming, efficient and friendly. The room was immaculate, comfortable and very spacious and bathroom to match! Continuing the theme, breakfast was great. Good selection, well presented and tasty. Quite simply cannot fault it, and the six other family members all felt the same

Attending a family function south side of Glasgow, so hotel on right side of town. Safe parking and easy to get to. I recommend this hotel

I stayed with my 11yo daughter and the hotel was beautiful. My only slight niggle was that kids can't swim until 10am (the pool opens at 7) and checkout is at 11 so we had to rush to make the most of the facilities and get changed for checkout. Loved our stay and would recommend 100%. Can't wait to go back with my partner

The pool was busy with children doing swimming lessons so not relaxing. You are not aloud to relax on your phone at the loungers - we got told no phones are aloud.
