Worcester Whitehouse

We were attending a family funeral and booked the Whitehouse Hotel for 2 nights. Whilst we could not fault the comfort and cleanliness the heat was unbearable. The window only opened slightly in the room and with the absence of aircon throughout it was stifling leading to 2 sleepless nights. The desk top fan provided just didn't cut it

Ideal situation for exploring Worcester. I felt the hotel was a bit ‘tired’ - the carpet somewhat worn on the ‘Grand Staircase’, the bathroom was clean but the bath and shower fitting was old, the toilet roll holder was wonky so the toilet roll not very secure and liable to drop off! The hairdryer provided in the room didn’t work, although I was provided with one as soon as I rang reception. The safety chain on the window was broken, allowing the window on one side to open fully - a concern if one had a child. But the most disappointing thing was there was no air conditioning in the room and it was really hot at night. An oscillating fan was provided but the noise it made made it very difficult to sleep. But the staff were really friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome.
