Cadmore Lakeside Hotel

This hotel is working hard to bounce back after Covid. It is apparent that improvements are ongoing but these do not impact on the quality of stay. Highlight of the trip was the setting. Beautiful woodland and lake which allowed opportunity to stretch legs after a long car journey and escape into the natural world. Lake could do with a clean but I'm sure they have this in hand. Swimming pool onsite was the main reason for booking for us. Bonus was that it has a deep end which hardly any other hotels do. Changing rooms appear to be in process of upgrade. Could do with signage to indicate where swimming towels should be left after use. Breakfast was plentiful. Scrambled eggs with salmon cooked very well (although the bloomer bread advertised on the menu was missing?). Coffee was really nice. Staff also did well to accommodate the challenging nearby table with a family who kept changing their order after it had been sent to the kitchen. Patience exercised! Mobility impaired facilities were good other than lack of demarcation for disabled parking. I judge a hotel by whether I would return I would happily go back and would recommend to others which says it all.
