Holiday Inn Guildford, an IHG Hotel

Fantastic hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel and area around hotel were very clean would definetly stay there again and highly reccommend to friends and family

How far away we were and we didn't have a good night sleep as children was very nosey

Good value family stay. Hotel is in good condition but our room had seen better days and needs a refit, but perfectly adequate. Holiday Inns policy of being open to family is a good one and makes it affordable but this policy should be extended to the swimming pool independent on-site who weren’t so accommodating to our children wanting to play in the pool.

We ended up here after another hotel we had originally booked, said they didn’t allow kids in the pool. This turned out to be a fantastic unplanned stay. Service was impeccable, food was very good, the pool was lovely and warm and we will certainly be back.

bar and lobby area are modern and really lovely for relaxing in. Rooms are comfortable and good size. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel and pleased with both. Health club a special star. Really enjoyed it. Stayed with two kids and got goody bags. Would love to stay again.

Lovely staff, room spacious and comfy. Pool clean and great size kids loved it. Breakfast really tasty and great range on the serving time. All in all great value for money would defo stay again.

Very nice hotel next door to the sports park. Good room for a family. Public areas spacious and breakfast was good if a little expensive

The room was a good size for our family and the staff were very friendly. It was unfortunate that our safe didn’t work; the safety lock that should’ve been on the door had been ripped out; we ran out of body wash in the shower and it wasn’t refilled when the room was serviced; there was no hair conditioner; the rowing machines in the gym had clearly never been serviced; and the monitor on one didn’t work at all. There also are not a sufficient number of towel hooks in the bathroom to encourage eco-friendly behavior. If everyone in the room doesn’t have a place to hang their towel between showers, they won’t dry and can get mixed up, leading to more frequent laundering. It’s not expensive to attend to the little things and had these small issues not been factors, our stay would’ve gotten an “excellent” rating.

Really liked the hotel and room. We had a double bed and a double sofa bed which was already made up ready to go on arrival. Staff were friendly, food was good and room was clean. My only issue was with the misinformation given to us about the swimming pool, we were told it could be used until 9pm (i phoned in advance before booking) this is infact not true, it closes at 8.30 but under 18's have to be out by 7pm and you also have to book the pool (and gym etc). This was an issue because by the time we got there it was too late to go in the pool and we had a very sad child on our hands for the rest of the night. We only booked this hotel for the pool use as we had to leave by 8am the following morning. Apart from this it was a pleasant stay.
