Lovely stay at the Welcombe hotel. Right on the outskirts of town, only a 5 minute drive from the hotel to town centre yet feels miles away as the grounds of the hotel are so peaceful. Had the family room which was a king size bed and the couch was a pull out bed. Had use of pool and gym facilities. Only down side is that kids swim time is 10-12 and 4-6, which does make it difficult if you’re trying to do some sightseeing while also catering to the kids desire to swim every day as well. Had a lovely time and would definitely recommend

A completely disappointing experience. The entire place is past due for a total renovation, displaying clear signs of tiredness.
The rooms are ok, but lack the attention to detail that they should have.
The restaurant is atrocious, offering a mediocre selection, setting itself low standards and failing to achieve those.
The spa, while functional, is also tired and needing redecoration.
Ignore the claim of this being part of a “Premier Collection”: it is an unloved, three-star establishment at best, despite being in an impressive former family seat in lovely surrounds.
I regret having booked this stay for should have been a happy celebration of a significant wedding anniversary.

We stayed in an apartment. It was big with three double bedrooms, a lounge, dining area and kitchen, plus two bathrooms. We are a family of four and plenty of room for teenagers. Apartment was clean, but not spotless. Good underfloor heating and good comfy beds. Linen and towels all clean and fresh.

This hotel is beautiful but that’s where it ends. Understaffed they gave us a room nearly a ten min walk from the lobby with not one person to help. When trying to order food for dinner we were told the room is “too far for service” and that we would have to walking in the rain to the bar in the lobby order there (because they don’t take orders over the phone or on line) and then carry it back in the rain to our room. As if that wasn’t enough the fire alarm sounded off at 1 am, 2:20 am and again at 5:20 am. It was frightening for both the adults and kids and when we realized there was no danger and called the lobby they simply said they knew there was an issue with the alarm and they were sorry. The hotel is a half hour walk from anything and they have no shuttle service. Do not go to this hotel!!!

Was surprised to find we were not in the main hotel but put in one of the hotel apartments, which I’m guessing is where they put families. Great spacious apartment, with all facilities. Breakfast in the main hotel every morning was great, lots of choice. The pool and spa areas were great, with access anytime during our stay. Would definitely recommend here. Lots of families and lots of people with dogs staying, which I was surprised at but very well behaved dogs!

Hour wait for food, coffee grounds in cup, dust, awful breakfast, broken window in room. Couldn't make drinks on menu. Overpriced average limited food menu. Then items missing from order. No play area and time in pool restricted for kids. Staff miserable and not accommodating. Have to go outside in the rain to get from hotel to spa then pay £5 to borrow a robe. The building and grounds were beautiful but the upkeep and staff bring a four star hotel down to a two.

We stayed in an apartment. The overall condition was ok, slightly tired. However the big issue was the moth infestation. We were given an alternative apartment which we accepted. The sleeping arrangements were not as good as the original apartment. There were 2 adults and 2 children, we had a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed on the ground floor. We wanted our children to sleep in the same room so we resorted to using cushions on the floor as a makeshift mattress

I thought that the stay was average
I experienced issues regarding the
Breakfast menus were on both mornings they ran out of items reference yoghurts and then beans and eggs
Also the evening bar meals menu was completely vegan only and the only meal available was fish and chips
Also we experienced a considerable amount of banging of doors and children being able to run up down the corridors late at night and also early morning times
Not a great deal of consideration for other Guests

Well I’ve got to say I am very disappointed with Hallmark hotel Stratford upon Avon ,We arrived on the Wednesday to get our room on 1st thought the room was very nice, only to find out later in the day the bath was broke and there was sick and what seemed like blood round to toilet area , then we was moved to Romeo apartment at 9 .30 at night with my 2 kid Which wasn’t very pleasant, The room itself need a lot of work doing to it the floorboards separating the blinds on the windows didn’t shut , so the next night we stayed they moved us to the countess sweet , Which was very nice, only problem I have to say about this room was the room service, The batteries have gone in the remote controls and we had to ring up three times before we had anybody come up with new batteries, We asked for an extra fan for the girls room, it never arrived . Then the kids wanted teatime snacks with what was on the menu wasn’t cooking the only thing they was doing was pizza , it’s a shame that I’ve got to write this bad review as the first time we stayed there it was wonderful .
