The Swans Nest is excellently located, comfortable, clean and offers great service, including a bar that stays open until 11 pm serving good quality cask ale. Unfortunately, we were awoken at 8am by dogs yapping in an adjacent room. Nowadays it seems that catering for 'fury babies' takes precedence over offering guests an uninterrupted sleep.

Throughly enjoyed my stay and would most certainly return. On arrival the receptionist had a professional, friendly and helpful manner. She asked if we had stayed before, gave us a map of the town and explained all of the facilities bar, restaurant etc. The room was modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. A delightful place with everything you could need. Location outstanding with plenty to explore on the doorstep. Reception area a delight to spend time in. A modern and immaculate space with charming decor. The only slight niggle is having to pay for parking as an addition to price of the room. Although I do find hotels are more frequently doing this now across the board. During my 3 night mid week stay I saw families enjoying their time there together and childless couples. Seems to be dog friendly too. No noise at night at all leading to a peaceful sleep. Great bolt hold when in Stratford. Would recommend a stay here to anyone.

Everything about the hotel and the location was excellent, however the dining in the evening and for breakfast was not good at all. An item was put onto my plate after I specifically told them about my dietary needs so I had to call them over to clarify and was told sorry that should not of been on your plate, NOT GOOD at all. Another member of the group asked for side salad with their main and was SHOCKED to receive lettuce and cucumber only... she asked for some tomato but was told we do not have any... a restaurant with no fresh tomatoes !! She asked again for another type of lettuce of which they obliged. Breakfast was not much better. the toast was not cooked enough it was soft and the breakfast itself was not hot enough. There was no fresh fruit at all. I asked for granola or Alpen as their was only rice krispies, cornflakes and weetabix ( talk about baby food ) I was told after asking that they did not have any that day. To think 4 people had to pay £174 for b and b I would of thought the breakfast would of been ALOT BETTER. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED as it was too expensive
