The Westleton Crown

We enjoyed our stay - the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was ok but hard to cool down during the hot weather in spite of having a fan provided and the hot water was dangerously hot! We had invited friends to join us for dinner on the first night and the food was excellent. Unfortunately because of dogs being allowed in the dining room our conversation was punctuated throughout by a barking dog who the owners couldn't control. It really spoiled our evening. At our final breakfast there were 5 dogs in the dining area. The staff were very aware of the situation and gave us a quiet area for our second dinner and volunteered the same for breakfast. However I think there should be a separate area for dog owners. We have a dog in our family so we're not anti dogs but we are very aware that some people are allergic to or are scared of them and think that should be taken into consideration in public areas.

Great hotel in a quiet village within an easy drive to the coast. We paid for early check in which made our overnight stay last a bit longer and gave us a base to explore nearby beaches. Dinner was lovely and staff accommodated dietary requests. The breakfast was fantastic offering a great range of continental and cooked options.
