Staff were friendly at check-in, and explained all we needed to know regarding the hotel and bar. We ate dinner at the hotel, and the food was superb, chatting to chef after meal service had ended, it was obvious they take great pride in their food. The (family) room was very spacious for the two of us, and the corner shower cubicle in the en-suite bathroom was a generous size. Outside there is a secluded green with access to public moorings for Broads cruisers. All in all, a great place to stay.

We stayed here as we were visiting family in Stalham. And for that it was convenient. However the room was a bit tired looking, and the bed was hard as a rock. Not to mention it was a traditional double. So very small! (And we are not large people) The breakfast and the staff however are redeeming features. The continental breakfast options were not extensive. But the cooked breakfast was good, using fresh ingredients, and cooked to order, which is always appreciated. The staff were polite and obliging to any requests.

Booked a family room for myself and two young daughters and it was perfect after an evening at Bewilderwood, 15 minutes down the road. Large clean room with a king bed for me and a single bed each for my daughters. Beds were comfy and the room well equipped with nice little touches such as hot chocolate sachets. Breakfast featured a selection of cereal, toast and hot and cold drinks, plus freshly made hot food. Highly recommend the sausage sandwiches! Loved the little nods to the hotel heritage within the decor. Staff went above and beyind and were fantastic with my girls, particularly the lady serving at breakfast - thank you!

We booked this holiday with Hotels.Com. 2 night stay. We booked a family room and it said that we had 2 bathrooms, designer toiletries. We arrived to a small room , 1 small shower room ,no designer toiletries. My granddaughter was very upset because she thought she would have her own barthroom. Whatever is on the Hotel. Com website is all lies. We will never return. It was like a sweatbox in the room. When we arrived they said they have not got any 2 bathroom rooms. So what's happening here.

We were visiting family in the area and this fit the bill perfectly for location. The room was large and very well appointed with walk in shower in large bathroom. Toiletries were provided if required and soft bath towels. Spotlessly clean in boththe bedroom and bathroom. A kettle and mugs was available with a selection of both coffee and tea or chocolate with proper sized mugs for making it in. Being diabetic on insulin I asked if they could store more insulin in a fridge which was no problem for them with easy access when required. The hotel and bar is dog friendly so we made new friends with several breeds and their owners during our five day stay. The bar area is cozy with nice nooks to squirrel away into for a meal or quiet drink. Or visit the well stocked bar and step outside to take in the view over the grassed green overlooking the Staithe or out back where the younger visitors could play on a variety of play setups. Perfect for little ones to run about, safe from the water, whilst letting off some steam. There is a decent size car park across the small road (off the main road, so no traffic) right outside the pub and hotel front door. With the main car park being big enough to the side and back of the building to accommodate large camper vans as well as patrons vehicles. The breakfast was included in our room price and it set us up nicely for the day. A perfect start. Bar Menu is good. Everyone we saw including ourselves appreciated the excellent food.

The service was fantastic. The food was amazing for dinner and the breakfast was simple but very good. The room was lovely though the only issue was the shower in the bathroom. We were unable to adjust the temperature, it was hot which I like but not great for my 6 year old son. Overall would recommend to friends and family.
