Holiday Inn Express Kettering, an IHG Hotel

In all it was just ok we had a family room the main double was comfy, but the child bed was awful. Breakfast was included, it wasn't very well cooked and the quality was poor, i would have preferred to have paid extra for breakfast and improve the quality and choice

Not good at all, lots of noise in the corridor from children running up and down and screaming, person in 339 had their tv on all night a very disturbed sleep, the bed seemed to be tilting towards the headboard( Ie the head of bed was lower than the bottom of the bed) The breakfast was very poor one choice of pastries and the one that was their was not fresh it was stale , we were not advised at anytime that we could phone down and complain, when we were leaving we were told their was a phone in the room, it was not visible to us at the time of our stay, we would not recommend this holiday inn express,

This was a last minute trip due to a family emergency. I booked late and arrived late in the day. Checking in was quick and simple. Staff very polite and helpful. I need a taxi to get to the local hospital as soon as i arrived. Staff had that sorted in minutes. The Room was better than expected. Bed was much more comfortable, better than expected. The sofa bed however was at a massive angle. Head end higher than the feet but not a big issue.Room had everything we needed, iron, hair drier, tv etc. The room was clean. The sound proofing in the rooms could have been better. Could hear the room above and people in the corridors. Breakfast was good as well. Again better than expected. No major issues and a positive experience. I would return.
