Hyatt Regency London The Churchill

Everything was great until we checked out. I got wrongfully billed for 4 buffet breakfast instead of 2, this is 120+GBP. At check out I explained that this is the wrong amount, as we just came in to pick our kids after they finished their breakfast to go out. Despite the fact that I waited around 30 mins for the attendant to go to the restaurant and check the signed bill. And although she confirmed to me that the amount will be waived and she will send me the invoice by email so not to keep me further. I was surprised upon my departure that the amount was debited in full. So, it's either a scam, or staff incompetence! This is my second stay in less than a month with 2 rooms reservation every time. I believe I will think twice before making another booking or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Overall, the hotel is nice, with friendly staff and a helpful concierge. High-class amenities. While there, it was jam-packed with long waits for elevators and breakfast. We ended up leaving and finding another place to stay after our first night as we found that the cost did not meet the expectations of the room. Beware when booking a family suite. It is just two connecting rooms. The price is not worth the adjoining door.

My room was on a floor/down a hall that had many families with young children, nannies and additional staff. Doors were slammed, kids cried, ran down the halls, voices were raised quite a lot. It did not make for an easy night's rest. I'd avoid this hotel during the summer months, especially with all of the overseas families and their staff taking over a lot of the hotel.
