The Eagle House Hotel

Lovely stay - only one night (unfortunately), one adult plus child, but will definitely go back. Great old building (as long as you like old buildings that is!); room that was . . . er . . . roomy, as well as bright, characterful. Evening meal was really good - restaurant obviously popular with locals in the evening, and I don't want to generalise, but I suspect they know good meat and fish when they taste it. But the main plus was the staff - I think we met four properly, including one whom I suspect was the owner, and they all seemed determined to ensure that our room, our food, our stay, were a really enjoyable experience.
