Staff very friendly food very tasty hot same as breakfast and staff extremely friendly nice family run pub

I can heartily recommend a stay in this traditional pub/hotel. The hosts, Ashley and Jill are really friendly and attentive.Nothing is too much trouble. They have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. The family room where we stayed was cosy and well presented.The standard of cleanliness is extremely high. The room had absolutely everything you need for a stay. Toiletries, hair drier, iron and board, a selection of teas and a tassimo coffee maker. If you have a baby, a cot and changing station, with nappy sacks, wipes and lotion was also in the room. Breakfast is provided downstairs in the pub. A full English or a modified choice from the ingredients. Just to warn you, it's a belly buster. Locally sourced from the butcher.I have to say the sausage was enormous. It is dog friendly, responsible owners are also welcome. If you fancy a bit of pampering, spray tan or a sun shower. Jill can also provide those as she is qualified in those skills, at the onsite spa/solarium. A woman of many talents. The bar serves a great selection of booze in a warm and friendly laidback atmosphere. The locals are very entertaining. Due to covid restrictions,they weren't serving lunch or dinner when we stayed. That will hopefully change when restrictions are lifted.You were able to eat take out food.They are a very covid safe and respectful establishment. Support local businesses, pop in and say hello if you are in the area. Use it as a base if you are in Devon/ North Cornwall.
