Stayed in main house. Nicely decorated comfortable bedroom with good ensuite bathroom. Generally very clean. Good tea and coffee making facility. Provision of bottled water on night tray a good thing as cold water tap was continuously tepid, despite running it for a while. Towels fluffy white and fairly new. Quality of bedding good. Minor issue was cracked glass in bathroom window and slight staining on bedroom carpet. Suggest guests could be more helpful by wearing slippers instead of shoes in bedrooms. Long wait for cooked breakfast to arrive at table on both mornings did hold back start of day but polite and cheerful service staff did offset the problem somewhat Will stay again as loved location and facilities and will definitely recommend to family and friends with children

Lovely hotel in Devon, came for one night with wife and two kids. We had a family room which as others have said it’s massive with beautiful views to wake up to. Down a hill but we opted to walk back and forth from the main building. We felt that being slightly away from the main building was nice and quiet and felt like we’d booked our own cottage. The place has a nice calm and relaxing feel to it, lovely grounds and buildings. Swimming pool is fantastic, didnt eat in the Laura Ashley tea room although it looks beautiful. We ate in the Cellars restaurant, good children sized portions and range of drinks. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
