Nice for older people, coupes and family. Spa mean you can have something to do if the weather is not nice…fairly priced for food which is good as the main town is pricey.

Check in was easy however was surprised by the £8.50 per night parking and wasn't asked if I wanted breakfast in the morning, luckily I had made alternative plans My room was advertised as a cosy double but there was nothing cosy about the size of my room as it was very spacious with a comfortable bed. The outside of the windows were very dirty so I reported this on checkout. Staff friendly however one of the girls had a yellow tongue piercing which I thought was not appropriate that that type of hotel. Although the outside of the hotel was looking tired the interior was beautiful and everywhere was spotless. Took advantage of the facilities which wasn't busy so very relaxed. Important to book the spa treatments in advance as it was booked up for the next 3 days. Quiet hotel with very few children so ideal for that perfect rest. Fantastic views from the hotel over the sea. Town centre 10 mins walk away. However Torquay harbour front looks like a war zone as they are revamping the area - Surprised at this time of year when the tourists are about to arrive

We booked a one night stay to visit family and see a show. Loved our room. We booked a standard with a sea view and it was perfect. The room itself was clean and pretty. The bathroom was nicely done. The view was spectacular! We had a balcony we could sit outside on to enjoy a drink and the view. Bed was comfy and room not too hot. Great soundproofing as there was an alarm going off all night nearby but we couldn't hear it. OH struggles to sleep when we are away due to room temp and bed comfort. This is probably the second time he has ever slept right through the night so bonus points for that. Only a couple of things to mention. Would have been nice to be able to enjoy a sun lounger on the balcony. It was big enough for a couple. There was no toilet brush in bathroom. These things are hardly a deal breaker. Staff were very friendly and we couldn't ask for more really. Felt the room price was about right for the room and the view. We will definitely return!

Just a one nighter to chill out, booked what was stated as a cosy room but it was far bigger than expected. Pool is a nice bonus but staff in leisure club could be a bit more cheerful. Only issue encountered was the shower ran scolding hot at around 9.45am, it was ok 15 mins later so probably just down to high usage across hotel. Not great if you are travelling with children. Also paid parking is a bit of a con as it never used to be chargeable. Hotels ok, not what it was in its prime but clean and better than a lot given the low cost (55.00). Overall a decent one nighter!

A long weekend visiting family nearby to celebrate a birthday. Had a sea view room, great views. Didn’t have dinner at the hotel but breakfast each day and used the lounge and bar for teas and drinks. All enjoyable.

Absolutely stunning hotel, couldn’t believe the size and facilities of the room, the view was also beautiful. Took our 2 month baby with us and the staff bought a couple extra heaters incase the room didn’t heat up quick enough for the baby (we didn’t request this, he was just that thoughtful!). Couldn’t compliment this place enough. We’ve recommended it to everyone we know and we will be back
