Ilfracombe Carlton Hotel - Hotel

Very clean and well kept hotel, very modern decor, bathroom and shower were excellent. Room was really hot with no a/c but fan provided. Rooms are on the small side Upon arrival they must have had issues with their system as they had mixed my data up with a previous guest who shared the same name. Had paid via hotels.com months prior to arrival and when checking out was asked to pay again! Staff apologetic. On arrival family had booked table of 4 for dinner however hotel wasn’t flexible in trying to cater for the other 4 even though hotel restaurant was far from at capacity, gave nice suggestions for other local restaurants to try. Breakfast was lovely other than serving cold coffee, neighbouring table also had same issue

We booked a family room for the weekend. We were greeted by Michael when we checked in, he was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. He helped with our Mum who is in a wheelchair. Every member of staff were so lovely and friendly. Our room had recently been refurbished and to a very high standard, it included a king size bed and bunk beds which were so comfortable .The breakfast was lovely, self service continental and table service for hot food, a really good variety on the menu. We also ate in the Brasserie in the evening, the food was excellent. We had a very enjoyable weekend and would definitely recommend this hotel.

From Management to staff the experience and service was excellent. Extremely attentive, polite, clean, professional and friendly. We will certainly be returning and have already recommended The Carlton Hotel to our friends and family.
