We stayed 2 nights here and loved it. We first met Martin when we checked in and he made it a great stay. He was always attentive and helpful. He managed to persuade us not only on breakfast but also on dinner both nights and we weren’t disappointed. The food was amazing. We stayed in a garden room, so with our dog this was ideal as a door opened onto the garden with a table and chairs outside. The shower pressure wasn’t the best and we never did figure out how to turn on the bedside lights but the room was spacious and comfortable. The only thing I felt was disappointing was how another guest was treated when her little dogs barked. We were sitting at breakfast in a separate room from people without dogs and someone must have complained about the dogs. The owners were asked to move to another room ( mid breakfast) . When I saw the dog owner later she was very upset. This is a dog friendly hotel so they shouldn’t have been asked to move. Someone with noisy or crying children wouldn’t have been asked to move. I think the guest complaining should have been moved. After all, we pay extra to have dogs there. This would put me off coming again with my dog.

Lovely welcome by a young man on reception. Room was spacious & very clean. Especially the bathroom which was absolutely spotless. 👌. Evening meal was really nice & the breakfast was too. All staff were very friendly & approachable. Would recommend this hotel to family & friends. Thank you.

Room was very dated but clean. Had family room number 15 which was a nice big room but it was so hot! Radiators were turned off and window open all day and night but still like a furnace
