Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa, BW Premier Collection

Great place, friendly and smart. Lovley adult atmosphere- including gorgeous spa. No screaming kids, no scrum at breakfast - what a pleasant change!

Was extremely pleased with our stay. Staff were great and accommodating. I have already reccomended family and friends and will be back ourselves. We were particularly pleased with the rooms( lofts and olive rooms with jacuzzi baths), breakfast, EV charging included and the spa area.

Went to stay as part of a family birthday celebration. We were able to check in to their room early to be able to decorate and we could store the cake in the kitchen for the next day. Our room wasn't ready before the check-in time but we were able to use the pool and spa. I had a separate treatment booked which was one of the best massages I've ever had. Staff were on hand to answer any questions and the food and drink was lovely. Only disappointment was that you don't get conditioner as part of the toiletries set in your room and none was available at reception.

We stayed 10 years ago for my parents golden anniversary. This weekend we returned to celebrate my mothers 80th and we were not disappointed. From the contact with staff pre arrival to the experience on arrival and during our stay all staff have been fab; warmly welcoming and delivering excellent service . The hotel rooms were nicely decorated, the lounge areas lovely and relaxing and the pool and spa fabulous. The food was beautiful in the restaurant and always piping hot which is unusual these days. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and service was speedy. There were 10 in our party and all waiters and waitresses were very attentive but special thanks must go to Manuel. Nothing was too much trouble and he absolutely made our experience in the restaurant so pleasurable that we ate there both nights. The only small feedback was the lift not working, which we were informed about, and my mum (who is 80 with long term health condition) having to climb into the bath. Otherwise the weekend was excellent and it felt a very safe place to relax and recharge with family after the past 2 years. our thanks to all staff, especially Manuel. We will hopefully return again.
