Novotel Cambridge North

Visited with my family (2 kids) and friends (1 teenager) in a summer weekend. Rooms are clean. Our room is facing to the train station but very quiet. No noise was heard at all. The children liked the swimming pool and we enjoyed good time there. Convenient location with buses to Cambridge city centre (around 20 minutes travel).

Another stay in this excellent hotel. I recommend the junior suite.

Hotel is OK. Restaurant had a decent menu with good portion size. Pool decent size and good for kids. Under pool rules it asks to wear proper swim attire but there were some wearing leggings and t-shirts. There were CCTV and letting those swim in outdoor clothes is absurd!! Have to pay for parking - nice touch if hotel can reimburse.

This hotel was very modern and clean and overall great for an overnight family visit. The only thing I was disappointed about was the amount of people in the pool. This is through no fault of the hotel, but we thought if we went for a swim at 9pm, it would be quiet - we were wrong. You couldn’t move in there which was a shame and left my kids feeling disappointed. This was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel.

Modern, stylish and really comfortable. We stayed with our children and all the staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The pool is a great addition, and we were able to book a timed entry so there was no stress around using the facilities. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice and was delicious. Definitely recommend. Only downside was needing to pay for parking at the station as the hotel does not have its own car park.

Room was tiny, not suitable for a family. Swimming pool was filthy and tasted of sweat.

Lovely overnight stay to attend a local party. We booked a family room which is not really a family room, just a normal room with a pull out sofa converted to a small double bed. It made the room feel very cramped. Overall though the hotel is great. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The choice at breakfast was good. And there was a pool for a quick splash about before we headed home.

Clean, good food, friendly staff, swimmong pool, sauna. No play area for the kids :(

Stayed one night in a family room. Good sized room with all the facilities needed. Very clean. Went in the pool as a family at 8pm excellent. Good breakfast.

Our stay was unfortunately severely marred by problems with the fire alarm- the fire alarm went off a number of times during the night, resulting in two full building evacuations (ie people in the street in nightwear and bare feet, babies in arms, outside in the cold), as well as other incidents of the alarm going off at other intervals during the night throughout the whole hotel. This meant that I had to go to work with approximately four hours of broken sleep and without breakfast (I was too tired), having paid £225.25 for the two-night stay. I emailed the hotel afterward to ask for some kind of recompense but they did note reply.
