Holiday Inn Express Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

Excellent location and easy parking. Great for park & ride. 5 minute drive away. Brilliant breakfast. Friendly helpful staff and everyone we came into contact with went out of their way to be helpful. We have stayed here on many occasions whilst visiting family in Cambridge and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Far superior to Travel Lodge & Premier inn!

We booked the family room for our family - 2 teenagers. The sofa bed was ridiculously small- 2 beds in a small room - certainly not big enough for 4 people. We had to get an additional room so it was an expensive stopover for us

Overall the family stay using four rooms was excellent. We needed to change one room following the bathroom door handle coming off otherwise all was well. The breakfast experience was sometimes a little frantic with the number of families and overseas guests all deciding to breakfast at the same time. Room was clean and functional with the added benefit of AC. In addition it was a quiet room with a reasonable outlook on the side carpark.

A bit cramped for a family of 3. The bathroom must have a worst sink design, constantly dealing with water over the side of the basin.

Lovely stay, hotel room was good for family and couples. We walked into town along a path outside the hotel lobby and took us 20mins to walk in with a child to a busy high street with lots of places to eat.

Expedia and the hotel didn’t seem to have communicated so check i took a long time. Thank goodness gor Oskar becsuse no one rlse seemed yo have any idea. Third room should have had sofa bed ready for child ( later srrival having been to wedding) but it was so had yo go snd get beddi g for exhausred child. Breakfast on Sunday absolute chaos. No cups food slow to arrive not enough dtaff

My family have enjoyed the stay at holiday inn. The property was extremely clean, the room was cleaned and tidied daily and all the communal areas were nice, tidy and comfortable. Staff have been extremely nice and helpful at all times. A special thanks to Patrick that checked us in and a scottish receptionist (cant remember his name) who booked a taxi for me. All very nice :)

Reception staff very helpful and pleasant on arrival. Room was clean but slightly cramped as a family room. Breakfast was adequate but a little chaotic due to the small serving area and the number of guests trying to access food at the same time we were.

Really great welcoming and friendly staff, family room a bit small but still comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

We booked this hotel as was dog friendly, we are a family of 4, children aged 11 & 7. When we arrived at our room, we noticed how small it was, but being an express figured was only meant for a night or 2 stay (we'd booked 2 nights). We then noticed the sofa bed that the kids would be sharing, it was only slightly bigger than a single bed, which would have been fine if kids were both small, so if you have older kids like ours the room isn't built for a family. It was pretty noisy up until about midnight with doors opening & closing & noise from the car park of people arriving (to be expected) what wasn't expected was the workmen who got up at 4am slamming doors as they left & shouting across the car park, we should have been there 2 nights but left after 1 night.
