You are unable to check in till 3 but they have the spa booked for child swim from 2.30 - 6.30. I understand that there should be child swim sessions but this takes up the whole afternoon and leaves half hour for access after before spa closing. They were not allowing access as it was busy. I would suggest they reduce the time from 2.30 - 5. The room was very cold and when we called reception they gave us a portable heated that had not been PAT tested.

Just a brief one night stop while visiting family in the area. Nice clean room stocked with all the essentials, comfy bed, friendly staff. Used the pool in the morning, good size, good temperature plus modern and well maintained facilities.

Great stay overall. The junior suite we had as a family room was fantastic. A great layout perfect with separate room for the kids and also enjoyed the spacious spa bath. Especially liked the fact the free mini bar items were included. This made the room feel like good value and the items were much appreciated and a very nice selection for all the family. A mix of beer wine and soft drinks and a reasonable quantity also. The swimming pool was nice if not a little busy as half term. I wasn’t as impressed with the amount of water all around the changing area and the fact the changing area was so cold in comparison to the pool, (small issues only). The staff were all fantastic and we eat a lovely pizza in the bar area and was a nice environment to sit and relax in. Everywhere was nicely clean and in order and we would definatly stay again if visiting the area.

I was staying overnight to visit family. The hotel is Absolutely disgusting state and cleaning. Got moved after complaining about bathroom cleaning. 2 bd room worse. Grime mild dust yuk. Carpets are worn and torn up stairways and corridors, stained rooms and side of bath. Mould around shower. I asked to clean it but not better. I drove home and didn’t stay. Disgusting place!

Not really sure what to expect as we had read a few negative reviews. We stayed in one of the king penthouse suites and as a family, we were all really pleased with our stay. Although a little tired looking, the suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Check in and out was quick, helpful and friendly. Complimentary drinks and snacks in the suite were a lovely treat. We ate in the lounge bar and the food was very tasty. Breakfast, served in the restaurant was lovely, serving cooked and continental choices. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we encountered and they all made our stay a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel and return for another visit. Thank you

Very basic. We stayed here for our first year wedding anniversary and it was disappointing. Rooms: size was great, very spacious but the room was dated and dirty. Ie. Dirt splashes on bathroom door, limescale on the shower etc. Service: No room service for breakfast available which seems like it would be the bare minimum since it’s the time of day most people would actually want it. Towels were replaced daily which was great, but don’t expect them to make your bed everytime. Breakfast: Absolutely shocking. The poor young kids working don’t seem to get much training or reason for motivation. Our first morning, an hour before end of breakfast, the only food left was sliced bread. We asked for some pastries to which they bought out a few more some time later which of course ran out again within seconds due to the queue of people waiting for something to eat. There were no plates, again we had to ask. And a huge long delay in refilling breakfast choices meant that there was never really a complete buffet available. Second day the same, this time with no working coffee machines. Lunch: We had lunch once at the hotel and it was delicious food. Menu is basic however. You get the same menu all day regardless of lunch/dinner so after a day or two there’s not much point dining at the hotel again. Spa: okay but very small considering the size of the hotel and the number of guests. No robe or slippers provided so not much of a relaxation space to be honest. Would not stay again.

The hotel was lovely, good shower, breakfast nice (lights in dining room too bright though). Unfortunately the bed was just too firm for both of us. First night was difficult and second night even more so. A real shame as we have family living within walking distance and it would have been convenient for a return visit, and an otherwise lovely hotel. Unfortunately won't be back as the bed was our reason for using the hotel.

Great hotel with great amenities. We stayed in the butler suite and were disappointed with the condition of the bathrooms (quite old) and were surprised with the dust on the window sills. These were only minor complaints though and didn’t impact overall stay. However, there was no still water in the mini bar and we had to order from room service and were told a £5 fee would be added, when it came it wasn’t cold which was annoying as it was the hottest day of the year so far and when we asked for ice we were told that would be an additional £5 charge due to room delivery. Thankfully we weren’t charged for any of it but didn’t know until the next day but this left us quite annoyed on the night we ordered. Also, another minor point, all coffee pods for the coffee machine were decaffeinated, not the end of the world but would’ve been nice to have the option to use the machine for caffeinated coffee. Apart from these things, overall stay was great and the use of leisure facilities for the kids and the leisure club staff were amazing. Would definitely go back as I imagine our complaints were a one off and wouldn’t be experienced again (apart from the old bathroom).

We stayed for a family wedding. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet. I ordered poached eggs which were served. Friday morning only white bread for toast,no honey. Sunday morning a variety of breads available. Different fruit and a larger selection of croissants. The bar closed at 10.30 on Saturday evening and we were asked to vacate the bar for another lounge so it could be set up for breakfast.
