Nice family room with good breakfast and other health gym services. Good price for a short holiday.

When we arrived we were advised that the hotel was extremely busy by the reception team & our ground floor room placement was not available. It would have been nice to know this beforehand, but we made it work. Upon entering the room we found the previous occupants underwear still in one of the draws. I let reception know & also advised them we needed more than 1 bath towel for 3 occupants. Someone was sent up to our room half an hour later with more towels but no comment was made about the underwear in the draw. We opted to just ignore the draw and the contents during our stay… I wonder if the next occupant of 118 will find them too? There is no soundproofing between the rooms or the corridors. Both Friday & especially Saturday night we were kept up late by the constant banging of heavy room doors & people knocking on other guests room doors. On Friday night at 11pm the room next to us had an alarm start going off. No one was in the room at that time & so we had to ring reception to resolve it. On Saturday night a group booking was placed in the rooms opposite us & they were clearly having a party between multiple rooms. Shouting, screaming & music accompanied by the constant knocking from other members of the group to enter the room of have a loud conversation in the hallway. The leisure facilities are not child friendly. The men’s changing room had nowhere private to change a child & no place to avoid a child getting an eye full of multiple men’s groins.

I think we were upgraded to a twin family room and was comfortable, clean and roomy. There were a couple of things that needed attention but nothing serious.

Very nice hotel indeed, clean and well presented throughout. The room we stayed in looked to have been recently refurbished and had been done to a high standard. Lounge and bar area was spacious and comfortable, as was the restaurant. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection to suit all. The only disappointment to note during our stay was the service during evening meal. We waited over 25 minutes for drinks to arrive, our food arrived beforehand. Some of our food order was wrong and had missing items and when we mentioned this we were told the items were not available. We should have been told this beforehand, we could then have made alternative selections. The younger members of the waiting staff probably need a little more training. This would not stop us returning though - the grounds are lovely, there is a small play area for the kids and the pool area is very nice (if a little small). Would definitely recommend.

Thoroughly recommend this attractive resort. Granny (ltd. mobility), son & 9 yr old made good use of pool. V good breakfast. Sup. twin refurbished to high standard: big, comfy beds. No A/C. Spacious, drawers & wardrobe etc. Ample seating & lighting. Beverage making facilities, excellent supplies in fridge. Robes. Lovely bathroom, quality provisions. Broken lift & quite a walk plus 2 lots of steps. Offered room change, not as good. Declined. Extra fan provided. Will revisit, family nearby.

Prices at the restaurant very high..not much to do for kids and dome guest very noisy at night evrn after midnight..

The hotel and facilities are excellent. Great gym and a really nice big pool. Although beware, the pool is too cold to enjoy for any length time. The same goes for the Jacuzzi. Again it is too cold to enjoy being in it. This was a shame as the pool was one of the reasons we came to stay, and the kids were excited to use it. Don't get me wrong, we grinned and bared it, but it needs to be warmer to enjoy it fully.

We stay at this hotel when we travel to see family. It is a fairly large hotel with excellent facilities. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. The food is also very good and the breakfast is excellent. We always enjoy our stay. The room is fairly standard with a king size bed but comfortable. We try and stay during the week as we’ve found that it’s better value. It gets quite busy at the weekends with golfers.
