Village Hotel Hull

Great stay but pool staff very strick with time children can use pool. They class children has 16 and under 😬. Lucky the times worked well for us. But be careful and plan ahead.

We booked in very last minute after deciding to extend our Easter break away to visit. The hotel was very very reasonably priced and the kids loved the addition of the pool. The rooms are a little dated but they were clean and large enough for one night which is all we needed. The onsite restaurant was great and the Sunday dinners, WOW! The kids meals are really good portions too and came with icecream so we had happy campers! An 11am checkout was perfect for a slower start to the day and the breakfast (we paid for it at the hotel as it was cheaper) was buffet style and had a good variety to choose from. The staff were really helpful, I couldn’t fault them and the little Easter hunt with Easter eggs for prizes was great whilst we waited for check in as we had arrived early. Overall very happy and would recommend.

Firstly the check in was very good. Helpful member of staff available and quick check in process. Room was clean but the bathtub unfortunately not. Swimming pool area was great and kids loved it. Main reason for marking it down was the noise. Rooms seemed to have very little sound proofing so could hear people in hallway opening and closing doors and talking most the night. For balance they may have just been noisy guests but it didn’t make for a restful night.

Another enjoyable stay at our favorite hotel! See you on our next visit to see our family.

Booked a few days before… Family of 3 booked a family room. Hotel was very welcoming, pool was lovely and great to have on site. Room was so hot, no air conditioning and fairly tired. Bathroom also fairly tired but all in all an ‘ok’ stay. Did I get value for money? probably not.. but my little girl loved the pool so all is well!

I have recently stayed at the Village in Hull for personal reasons and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. During my stay it was my birthday and they went above and beyond, they tried to make it special for me under difficult personal circumstances and succeeded. They decorated my room with a banner, balloons and left me a drinks voucher in a card. Before my birthday I also received free gym access and a couple of vouchers for Starbucks, they made me feel part of the Village family. Thank you Josh and team for trying to make the best of a difficult time for me.

We booked the hotel to break a long journey and let the kids have a swim. We arrived at 4pm to discover the pool was closing at 4:30pm and not open until 9am - when we wanted to be away. There was no information about the pool opening times and wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. The hotel was hot and no fan in the room.

Hotel was nice but not as clean as previous visit, found child toy left from previous people under the sofa bed and dust on curtains and sofa bed, room was far to hot and one fan did nothing really needed air conditioning
