A great short stay with family in a beautiful city. The Francis Hotel is in a fantastic central location with a real sense of history. All of the staff were polite and courteous and treated all of our family group, inc. parents and kids really well. Highly recommended.

Such a great find. Our first time in Bath, used the Francis Hotel as a stop over on our way to Newquay but we will definitely be back. The staff at check in were cheerful, professional and friendly. Lots of local knowledge on what to do and places to see. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to the shops and the sights in all directions. We managed to see the Circus, Crescent, Pultney Bridge, the Baths, local parks and adventure playground, went shopping and had a lovely family friendly meal out. Awesome breakfast in the morning, children had lots of options from cereal to continental. I can recommend the Moroccan eggs royale, they were a thing of beauty. You need a weekend at least to stand a chance to see what you’ll want to, and The Francis Hotel will be the place we choose to stay from now on to do that.

lovely hotel and location and the staff were excellent. However, the family room was quite small considering its designed for a whole family. we felt a bit penned in. Secondly, the location of the family room is not good. no less than 3 flights of stairs to access, which was really difficult with a pram. there is a lift for the first flight, but then you have to descend another 2 sets of stairs to get to the room without a lift, which made life really difficult. Another point was that the continental breakfast options, whilst nice, was pretty limited and i noticed that most people ordered the paid for breakfast to bolster. Just a couple of observations that, for the price, could so with some attention. Thanks

The Francis is a lovely hotel, comfortable and very clean. I loved the historic touch - the plaques showing the homes that once stood on the site and the families that lived there. The only quibble was the blocked shower drain (which was fixed pretty quickly after we reported it) and the lack of cups and glasses in the room, which was also addressed.
