Could use more dining options on property. Staff was friendly but not quite the caliber one would expect from Ritz-Carlton. That said, I would definitely book a return trip and recommend this location to friends and family.

The property looks as if it will need a remodel in the near future. The bathroom was not fully cleaned from the previous guest. The steps and tile throughout the property was broken. Our room just never got super cool for us and we had to remove cover at night. The two beds in the hotel side are full beds NOT queen. It was way to small for my 6’7 partner. The adult pool was full of kids, I mentioned this to staff and was told there was nothing that could be done. The staff was amazing and always very helpful. I was a little disappointed in this being a Ritz Carlton. I saw very little difference in this than the average 4 star hotel chains…expected more.

There weren't really a lot of places just for adults. The main pool was supposed to be 18 , but every single day of our trip there were a lot of young children taking over that pool, being very loud and disruptive, but nothing was done about it.

The property is beautiful! The rooms are very nice and marriott worthy….CLEAN, Bedding perfect, gorgeous bathroom with auto lighting, turn down service with a card telling a historical story each night….but the STAFF was AWESOME and the best asset of the facility!!! Clarissa et al at Bleu Water Restaurant (Clarissa rum punch is the BEST), every single bell hopper, every Aurora wait/bartender staff, every grounds person, every store clerk, every housekeeping staffer, was ON POINT! I don’t mean they were there to pick my napkin if I dropped it or they clicked their heels or dropped petals at my feet. I mean they were HAPPY to be there! Idk if this is a VI thing but PLEASANT, PATIENT, PRO ACTIVE ON ENSURING YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED was just a given here. So often not found in the US anymore! NOW, on the neg side, the other guests were snobs. We’re a 50 something barfly couple. No one else there in our category. Almost everyone there ( except one wonderful couple from NJ and 3 great gals from VA) was snooty. There were a few families there too. Just saying it was a QUIET place. Perfect place to write a book.

This is my first review of a property. I must say this is a rare gem. The staff here are fantastic in caring for their guests. The meals are great, decent, and not too lavish. The rooms are well made and cared for. The garden-like environmnet takes me back to my childhood in the tropics. This place is home away from home.

A fantastic property with great amenities. Major downside is this is very much a family style property and not great for a couples getaway. It seemed the kids from the condo side of the property (which has its own pool) were sent to the hotel side. I have no problem with kids but it should be advertised that this is a family resort.

We paid $38,000 upfront, for 3 rooms, 4 nights, party of 6. We had a hint this was not a typical Ritz experience when for 6 weeks calls and emails seeking assistance for dinner, excursions and such, were never returned by the property. Even when we arrived, the dedicated concierge staff in the lounge never followed through with anything for us (i.e. when the shift changed they forgot about restaurant and spa reservations we spent hours inquiring after). They have run low on bath towels so 3/4 nights we are drying off with hand towels. One attempt at using room service resulted in a 2.5 hour delay. The worst situation was a very drunk guest in the lounge became belligerent, verbally abusive and ultimately vandalized our hotel room door after a rather innocuous exchange about the television remote in the club lounge. The staff failed in every way to recognize, acknowledge and intervene and ultimately we were put to the task of dealing with the St. Thomas police over the incident. There is no security and extremely poor management here. When I was asked by loss prevention what we wanted them to do, I told them, “handle it so we can carry on with our vacation.” They did the polar opposite; summoning our whole family at 11 pm to the front desk. I pleaded, my husband has COPD and can’t take the stress. He was barefoot in pajamas, no contact lenses, his wheelchair in the room and these monsters told us to calm down! It’s just, someone they overserved did call our 15-year-old a c&nt.
