The Kala Samui

The Kala Samui is absolutely a wonderful place for a retreat in Koh Samui. Located on Chaweng Noi Beach, it is separated from the hustle streets of Chaweng Town which will bring you into serenity and relaxation, though the hotel provides shuttle bus service to bring you to Chaweng town once per day. The hotel is situated on a rock hill among the greenery with a fascinating common infinity swimming pool facing to the ocean. In my opinion, Kala might not be really suitable for elderly or small children as there are many stairs for you to walk from lobby, pool, sundeck to your room; however, the stunning view can compensate for all these. Please note that not all villas here have full ocean view (some duplex villas are just partial ocean view so I suggest you request directly to the hotel if you love to look at the ocean all day!! ). We enjoyed our stay in the Presidential villa (which is the best villa of the complex) and it was fantastic. The main room is spacious with marvelous ocean view, the other room is facing the swimming pool with ocean view window, too. It also has an outdoor bathtub for romantic relaxation. Highly recommend booking this room if you are going as a family. Sstaff is very friendly and the manager (Michelle) is such a caring person. The minus point is the whole place is being worn out and it surely needs a medium renovation. Yet I still can't get over the beauty of nature this place offer to give it 5/5, basing on a 4* property standard.
