The Slate

We enjoyed our stay at the resort for 5 nights. The adults only pools are a huge plus for couples without kids - you can enjoy the weather and relax. Dining options are great - breakfast is very good, and for lunch and dinner you have multiple choices including a Michelin restaurant- all the prices are reasonable. The Spa was great, and also the cooking class was very fun. We had one issue in our last night - there was an event at the resort- a concert right outside our room, at 23:30 we had to call the reception a few times and ask to stop it, it is ridiculous that we paid 350 Euro a night and since 14:00 they started with sound checks drums and what-not. They blasted us with loud music while all we wanted to do is relax. The day after we checked out we mentioned this, and they compensated us in 200 THB (7 Euro)…For this kind of resort I would expected a more personal approach and handling.

WOW, we had the best honeymoon stay at The Slate. After a really poor experience at Avista Grande Karon despite positive reviews, we were a little sceptical in the lead up to driving to The Slate. But from check in to check out, we had an incredible experience. Staff are super attentive, the breakfast spread is delectable and the grounds are stunning. There are 3 pools (family, adult & quiet), all kept clean and easy to get a subbed (an issue we experienced at the previous hotel). There are lots of activities including badminton, archery, tennis etc. The gym is also very modern and has all the equipment you would need for a great workout. The beach is close by with some street food stalls and massage places, roughly 300 baht for a foot massage which is similar to other areas in Phuket/Bangkok. The airport is only a 10min drive away. Overall, I would highly recommend The Slate!

The staff is very very very peasant and always ready to help. The property is right next to the beach. We walked out of room and right onto the beach. The services and the food were excellent. They have great restaurants and activities. Having choice of pool also helped. They have kids and adult pools and they’re both amazing.

excellent family hliday resort, cannot fault

Amazing resort. Very child-friendly. Pool vas big, clean and never overcrowded. Lovely atmosphere. Food at the resort was quite expensive for Thailand.

An amazing beautiful 5 star hotel, caters for everyone with 2 adult only pools, amazing childrens pool too. Breakfast is brilliant Rooms stunning Welcome lovely with a flower bracelet a juice and a token to receive a complimentary drink of your choice. The brunch on Sunday is a must! It’s amazing with a huge selection for you to indulge
