WiFi and room telephone didn’t work for more than half a day ! When we complained the manager is charge apologised and when we asked her for some compensation, she gave us option of shifting in another room for just one night and again shift back to our original room when the problem would be resolved! Who is going to shift with family and some belongings in between your stay for just one night ? I had spent big amount on staying in two bedroom suite for 5 nights and then I get such a service ! Next day another duty manager Ms Teau understood our issue and apologised to us and tried to help us in every possible way! She was very helpful !

The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The pools are attractive and kid-friendly. An unfortunate feature is that every low tide dramatically reveals an unattractive beach full of ivy and rocks - which is completely covered at high tide. The hotel is very spread out - there’s a lot of walking and steps.

This property is great for couples. I wouldn’t recommend it to people with young children like us. Although the staff were excellent and caring towards our daughter, and the resort had a kids club, I wouldn’t call this a family resort and it is very inconvenient for toddlers or people with prams if it’s high season and booked out as buggies and service take time. I likes that we had a room up the top next to the club which made our stay easier and the staff there were fantastic. Excellent voyager lounge to use after checkout if required. I didn’t enjoy listening to fireworks all night from patong beach but I’m sure other types of guests wouldn’t mind. Our family would be better suited away from patong next trip.

We had stayed at the ocean view 2 bedroom club suite for 2 nights. The room's view was spectacular, and we could enjoy the Patong bay view at the balcony anytime. The staffs were friendly and treated us like family. Most of the restaurant had no air-conditioning, and it would be quite hot for lunch time. The club suite included access to the club house. We had enjoyed breakfast buffet and complimentary happy hour with free flow of drinks in the club house daily. Overall, Amari Phuket was a home away from home for our family trip. Thank you for all the friendly staffs to make our trip memorable.

Staying at Amari Phuket gives you some privacy, solitude and keeps you from the crowd and noise at Patong Beach. The resort is beachfront and offers a quiet beach, 2 large swimming pools, two beachside restaurants and a few shops. There are other facilities such as a spa, a fitness center and kid's corner to make your stay pleasant. Besides, there are speed boats around if you want to ride, with fee. The staffs are all polite and professional. The property is clean and nice to walk around. You will enjoy swimming in the sea or the pools or just sunbathing. However, 2 little things here: transportation, actually either from the airport to the resort or going from one place to another in Phuket, is surprisingly expensive AND dining in the resort is somewhat overpriced with the food being average. Having said that, the resort provides a free, one-way shuttle to go into Patong Beach 3 times a day if you need to get out. Overall, I think you will enjoy your stay there.

Like the staff, cordiality, kids club, spa, restaurants, events.
Some opportunities in the room (dark, old furniture, lack of maintenance).

Good location just outside of Patong and therefore quiet in the evening. The room is clean with ample amenities for a family. But room is old. Restaurants serve good quality food the the breakfast spread has fantastic options.

The Amari is a very well provisioned hotel in a superb setting with wonderful views across Patong Bay. The staff were excellent: very attentive and sorting every little problem out enthusiastically and with the minimum of fuss. Of the two restaurants in the hotel, La Gritta was excellent and served me with the best two meals of my whole holiday. Because the hotel is spread over such a large site, it can take quite a walk to get to the lobby but the staff were very good at arranging for the shuttle cart to pick you up and drive you back and forth. The only minor downsides for me were that the pools got quite crowded with families during the day and the hotel does have a slightly corporate feel lacking some of the more Thai features of other comparable hotels. Overall, though, a great choice.

Our first trip to Amari and 5*’s
I booked two ocean facing delux rooms 7202/7201 closest to rim taley and extremely pleased with the hotel. la gritta and rim taley were excellent food quality excellent and breakfast was a feast and super spread. Breeze spa brilliant! What a view from the massage pad. The beach is small but i didnt care. Kids had fun in kids club. Food etc was very attractively priced not a rip off rate. Given the fact that i am a Mariott Platnium member and initially wanted to stay at mariott in phuket boy i would have regretted. Amari is an excellent choice i will def. be back!!!! Only point to remember is its 1 hr south of phuket airport and could take 90 minutes if you land and drive during evening hrs.
