Athithara Homestay

Beautiful Thai wood home on the river. We stayed in a row of guest houses a few feet from main structure. The family was friendly and provided great service, even procuring us transportation and an English speaking guide, when requested. Breakfast included continental choices and Thai dishes made fresh when we sat down. We were even able to buy a beer and a glass of wine from the owners to enjoy in the evenings. The garden and view of the river were soothing. The only downside was the bathroom was outside and though covered and offering privacy by a six foot high wall, it didn’t stop the mosquitos from taking a bite while using the toilet and shower. A unique experience never-the-less, for those tired of standard hotel accommodations.
