BlueSotel Krabi Ao Nang Beach

We booked this 8.8* hotel and looked forward to our family vacation. The outside and lobby looking good and modern, but once stepping into the room (#408), realized rust and mold on many corners of the bathroom. Not sure why this is so bad. Morning breakfast was decent, but with open concept in the lobby, patio door/window wide open, attracks a number of of birds fly in and out. We've noticed birdies do what they do best on many of the hanging lamps. There was a particular lamp sitting directly on top of the buffet table. Nooo! Even though the food dishes have covers, but we don't like the idea one bit. Do you??

Being a gold member, there was a free upgrade option (of course upon availability which we understood). Moreover we paid for a higher tier room (not the cheapest) and it was my birthday (some hotels would give a free upgrade regardless). Staff said hotel was full but ended up saying she upgraded us to highest floor (level 7). Room was exactly what we booked so there's no decent upgrade. We found a pile of hair in the cupboard too, not really hidden in a corner and it was very obvious once you open the cupboard. There was free wifi but we couldn't log in despite given the username and password. There was no hot water. Water pressure was pathetic too. They insisted to send our luggage up to our room. We waited for 45mins, nothing. Called them. Still nothing. Ended up leaving the room (we were supposed to be in isolation pending the PCR results) but we needed our things in the luggage. Our luggage was hidden behind another pile of luggage so they had clearly forgotten about it. Understand they could be short of staff or training but the economy is recovering. They should really relook into their service and cleanliness. By the pool, if you are booking, go for the mountain view instead of pool view. Pool view is boring, unless you're looking out for your kids.
