I first stayed at the Shangri-La 20 years ago and wanted to take my 10-year-old daughter back to relive some good memories. Happy to say the Shangri-La is still serving up wonderful service all these years later. The staff go above and beyond, breakfast is nothin short of wonderful and the location overlooking the river is fabulous. Highly recommend for families.

Hotel is opposite Bangkoks main shopping centre across the river but there aren’t enough scheduled boats. Breakfast is pandemonium with queues and children everywhere.

Shangri-La was just right for a family vacation. The room was clean, well-maintained and spacious. The view of the river was beautiful. Situated right next to a BTS station and a ferry port, this hotel probably has the best location among the river-side hotels. Breakfast buffet and the outdoor poor were also great.
