Muzik Hotel - Ximending Xining Branch

For savvy traveler, most the time there isn’t reception personnel in the hotel. I have seen couples with little kid we’re not be able to check in by themselves at night. If someone is highly dependent on hotel service be award of this condition.

I originally booked a triple room at Muzik Xining branch for 3 nights. Hotel staff was so nice that she free-upgraded us to the new hotel - Click Hotel. Click is in the center of Ximending and it's easy to find the building - but not the right entrance. Click is on the top floor (10/F), and there's a game center at 3/F and "divided-rooms for rent" at 6/F to 9/F. Every time the elevator stopped at these floors, there's the smell of cigarette and the sight of dim and shabby walls - so better don't let your children take the elevator by themselves. However, when the elevator open at 10/F, it's a totally different world! The stay at Click is very pleasant except a minor defect - the drainage of the shower place is not very good and you need to stop several times and allow the water to drain away slowly before turning the shower head on again. If you are looking for a spacious room with pleasant environment, Click is a good choice for you.

My family of 5 stayed for 10 days at this hotel. There is no breakfast provide but the hotel provided free bread buns and nice coffee. Hot water is readily available. The facilities in this hotel are as good as similar hotel in Ximending that we had stayed before and overall experience is good. The hotel has provides free cup noddles in the evenings. The staffs are nice and accommodating. I am traveling with a 2yrs old child and two other children so I booked a family room. The hotel has self-service washing machine and dryer for clothes washing which is convenient when traveling with children. Security wise we feel quite safe.

Sound proofing in the room is very poor. We could hear the baby next door crying loudly every day, opening and closing of doors and conversations in the hallway. Hotel staffs were friendly though.

Location, need to walk 5-10 min from ximen station exit 6. Average size room for 2 person. Warning for parent who will bringing their kids, do not let them meddle the remote control, got restricted content on some channel. Overall good stay.
