The hotel is in a very quiet, picturesque location. We loved the privacy of our room, and being able to sit on the balcony gazing at bamboo forests. However, the hotel is a little rundown and not super clean. There is trash strewn around the driveway behind the main building, on the way to the upper buildings. It stank, and left a very poor impression (and probably attracted rats). We got a good deal on our stay, but I believe it wouldn't be worth paying full price for regularly. Breakfast was vegetarian-friendly, and just okay. Note there is NO COFFEE. There is one hot drink machine that supposedly makes a cappuccino, but it doesn't even taste like coffee (other guests were complaining of this, too). I highly recommend bringing your own if it's important to you; 7-11 is a bit of a drive away. Perks: there is a kettle and fridge in the room, and dogs are welcome for a $100nt cleaning fee (as of June 2020). The full-window bathroom facing the forest was AWESOME. We loved it. Not all rooms have this, and the shower does have blinds in case you don't want squirrels watching you bathe. It was very quiet outside, so once the nearby child with the temper tantrum settled down, we slept well. Note, the buildings are old and not well sound-proofed, so if your neighbours are loud, you will hear them. Also, one of the lower buildings had a macaque monkey entering through the window, so take care to close the windows!
