Hotel Hemizeus & Iremia Spa

The hotel is a gem in Zermatt. We had a wonderful room and it’s a little ways from the center of town in a quiet section with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. It’s great for families and the staff is very friendly! We will be back.

A family run hotel with terrific views of the Matterhorn. Electric shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the train station on arrival/departure. A free local bus allowed access to downtown but service ended at about 7:30PM and the walk back would be pretty uphill and take half an hour. Alternatively taxis are available but we were told they can be quite expensive. We were able to ski out and ski most of the way back. Beginner skiers would struggle to do so. The hotel has a restaurant and there are a couple others you can walk to from the hotel. The room was modern but quite small. It had a coffee/tea service which was nice. The balcony had a Matterhorn view. We booked our stay to include the morning breakfast. I would recommend this as there aren't a lot of nearby alternatives. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of options and the staff was very nice. There is a ski storage room to safely leave your gear over night. There is a spa building but we only did a single hot tub which we found to be a bit lukewarm. You can book spa treatments and massages, but we didn't do any so I can't speak to the quality or price. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.

Lovely place to stay but be warned it involves a bit of a walk up hill back - probably asking too much of young kids and tough on skiers.

Amazing hotel! Great view, great staff, great room and lots to do in the local area. I highly recommend this place to anybody that’s traveling with family members, small kids.

Perfect stay. Everything was excellent - our top floor 2 bedroom apartment had a view of Matterhorn, comfortable sitting room with great TV, sauna, jacuzzi and ski storage downstairs in the same building, restaurant with excellent food and very friendly staff! Great for everyone: families, friends, couples. They drive you straight from the station to the hotel and back which is very convenient. There is also a direct ski route from the hotel to the ski lift and back. I would highly recommend!

Excellent hotel and spa. Staff was very attentive. Easy to ski to the Matterhorn Express gondola. Walkable to town but far enough away to be quiet. Would recommended to family and friends.
