Dorint Blüemlisalp Beatenberg/Interlaken

The hotel was amazing with great rooms and facilities. The view was breathtaking. Probably the best from any room in Switzerland. The service was great and the breakfast very elaborate and tasty! There weee many things to do for the kids and the family as well!

Very nice for family, great excursions around and a lot of things to do in the hotel (minigolf, swimming pool…). The staff was very nice

We really liked our stay at the hotel. Clean, excellent breakfast. Expensive but very tasty dinner. The location is a bit far and lengthens travel times, but the breathtaking scenery makes up for it Two things to improve: 1. Better quality pillows. 2. It is not clear why you have to pay extra for kitchen equipment. I recommend the hotel to families. Very functional.

The hotel is located on the side of the mountain and it offers picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and lake. It was easily accessed and offers ample parking. The lobby, restaurant and pool/fitness area are excellent. We did not try the sauna area as it is “textile free.” The grounds have an outdoor sitting area as well as indoor and outdoor play areas for children. The rooms were great and very spacious. We booked a room for two adults and three children and we were assigned to a two bedroom 1.5 bath suite which also had a kitchenette. I will caution that our room had a tall staircase leading from the living room/kitchenette area to the bedrooms/bathrooms which you must be cautious of if you have young children. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Dorint hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. The check in/check out process was easy and the views were magnificent. The hotel is located next to a stop for the free bus to Interlaken and a short walk to the mountain cable car.

Everything was great. But count on that this hotel is quite busy and booked all the time. There is a lot of ppl of all races and religions. A lot of kids and a lot of noise at the dinners or breakfasts. But it is a lovely place to stay on your trip to Switzerland.

Great for families

Spectacular Views. Pre book the Restaurant or prepare to be disappointed. There a kids everywhere... playing in the lifts, running round corridors screaming in the pool. Its horrendously unrelaxing. Perfect for families but dont book this as a couple, its a very expensive kids playground

This hotel really is lovely. Spacious rooms, comfortable accommodations. Very nice amenities for families, including a great pool, mini golf, playground, kids play room, etc. One drawback was no A/C - room was warm at night and it was buggy enough outside we didn't want to leave the windows open, though that certainly would have cooled things down. Other thing to consider is just how far the hotel is from Interlaken - as the crow flies and as it looks on the map, it seems close...but it's a 20-25 minute drive along narrow roads with hairpin turns to get up there. The view is well worth it - but something to keep in mind if you are intending to spend substantial time doing other things in the area.
