Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel

I gave it just a 2 star rating mainly because we are very disappointed. We did not got a room that we expected. We reserved and paid extra for a junior suite for that «little extra» of luxury and comfort. But all we got is a big room (yes plenty of place) and that’s mainly it. The description and the pictures states/shows that the room has a separate bedroom but that is not what we’ve got. It’s just a big room with 2 single beds and a sofa bed. We are travelling as a family and it’s very impractical that we got 2 single beds and a sofa bed. (although we requested a kingsize bed beforehand). We stayed here before and family room looks better than a junior suite…. We also stayed here because they have their own parking space but when we arrived, there is no availability. There is also a lot of noise until around 4pm/5pm when we arrived (I’m guessing some construction going on). And it’s a little bit annoying especially when we just arrived from a long drive and wants to relax for a bit. One nice thing about this hotel is that they have nice and accomodating staff at the reception…

This was the perfect hotel for my family and I to stay in while we explored Gothenburg on a mini break. There were toys in the atrium for kids. Good internet and working space for the bigger kids and adults. Super comfy beds. Thick walls and doors meant no noise disruption. Good breakfast. Lovely staff and cool decor.

We stayed one night and enjoyed it. The hotel is just a 3 minute walk from the train station and close to the city center. Inside, the hotel is fresh, airy, and new. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The service was very good. We were happy to be allowed an early check-in on a rainy day. We spend some time in the kids area playing ping-pong which was great. I would stay here again.

We paid for a family room. The sofa bed was not made and we got dropped off a sheet and they told us to make our own bed. When I asked for pillows for the sofa bed they said that they were short of pillows and that I would have to use some from the main bed.

Great location, however neither parking nor breakfast were included to the family room. Those were offered separately at unreasonable prices.

No family friendly, guest laundry as advertised- it’s an expensive laundry service.
