Hotel Medium Valencia

Brilliant stay at Hotel Medium. We arrived early and were granted early access to our room, which was very cool despite being particularly hot outside. The pool was open 11 til 8 every day and the kids pool in particular was perfect for our 2 and 4 year olds. Breakfast had a great selection with fresh fruit, pastries and cooked options available so the kids were happy and set us up well for the day. The local area is fairly residential so we got taxis (Freenow app) to attractions - Piscina Parc de Benicalap (water park), Plaça de la Verge (historic city centre), Oceanogràfic (oceanarium), Malvarrosa beach - which was very reasonable. No dinner restaurant on site but lots of local food options including takeaways via Glovo app. We expected some minor niggles based on other reviews but didn’t experience any - pool was never overcrowded, staff very friendly and helpful, no extra charge for safe in room. Room tip (216) - Floor 2 on the pool side had a larger outdoor area due to the roof and saved our legs when the two lifts were busy by post breakfast.

We really enjoyed staying here. It is a short walk to the Oceangraphic and related venues and the old town is a pleasant walk through the Jardin del Turia. Our single complaint was that the pool was not accessible to guests until 11am, possibly because local school children use it before then, but on the other hand it is good to see businesses engage with their community so we weren’t really too upset.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Medium Valencia and it was a great experience. The room was fantastic and very clean. Breakfast was great and enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Staff were friendly and helpful and the amenities were top notch. It was in a fantastic location if you want to stay near the city of science and arts but situated to the south west of the city we needed to jump in a cab to get to the barrio or the rusafa where we wanted to eat out. All in I’d highly recommend this hotel.
