SH Valencia Palace Hotel

The SH Valencia Palace was the perfect place to stay in Valencia. Located equidistant from the old centre and the city of arts and sciences, both are walkable within about 20 minutes, but you retain the quiet atmosphere around the hotel. Service was excellent. We checked in rather late after a flight delay and were given an upgrade to a junior suite. We didn't book with breakfast, as we had an early lunch booking on Sunday, but the cost of breakfast on Saturday was just 18 euros per person and the spread at breakfast was superb. Great in terms of both range and quality. Proper orange juice, and great coffee, too. Staff were friendly throughout and we were also really impressed to see staff with down's syndrome in customer-facing roles, showing that they're an equal opportunities employer. The room itself was extremely comfortable. Comfy bed, nice robe and slippers, effective air con, excellent shower, nice toiletries. If we return to Valencia, we will definitely return to the SH Palace.
