I'm not entirely sure how they have a 4 star to this hotel. I have stayed in plenty of 4 star hotels in the past in over 10 countries and this is by far the worst. The front desk is minimal at most, with no hospitality or warmth when checking in. Everything is extremely dated and tacky, with the room smelling heavily of cheap air freshener/perfume. At night and in early mornings, we were woken up by people (not kids) running, screaming, yelling and pounding on doors. We can hear clearly when next door is taking a shower or blow drying their hair. Occasionally, we encountered "suspicious" females lingering around the front door at night.

This property is located right in the center of all restaurants, stores, and metro. The room was impeccable and pretty. My favorite was the shower and the amount of water pressure the shower heads had. It felt very relaxing. The ninth floor had an outdoor observatory with an amazing view. Staff were nice and helpful. When I return to Madrid, I intend to stay there again and I highly recommend my friends and family to stay there as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Guest services were friendly and accommodating. Allowed us to check in early. However, bed felt like sleeping on wood slats with thin mattress. Walls paper thin and could hear a ton of noise from family with children in adjoining room. Air conditioning did not function well and the room was frequently hot and stuffy.

Highly recommended! This is family-owned so it’s well taken care of. Excellent room and customer service. Steps away from fine shops and restaurants. Right at the city center. Will definitely book this hotel again when we go back to Madrid.

A family trip with my daughter, the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful letting us into our room 4 hours early. The hotel is very central near all city centre amenities and close enough to Retiro Park to walk. Excellent
