Hotel Barcelona Colonial

The hotel is an easy walk to a metro station. Nearby, and also very walkable are the Bari Gothic area, Cathedral, the El Born area. The breakfast buffet was very large with a good variety of items. Very nice and unexpected. Good value for price if you want to fill up to start the day. Would definitely recommend hotel to friends and family.

Great location easy access to everything . The staff was very nice and friendly. They helped us with the tickets for the tours and reservation and also they spoke English well. No problems for a good family vacation .

We had booked a room with two double with additional single bed as we were 2 adults and 1 child. When we first got to the hotel, we found the location to be superb, blocks away from the port and 5 minute walk from las Ramblas. The room they assigned us first was very tiny and only had a double bed and as soon as you open the door, the door hits the bed. I found this to be unusual, so I did complain that we had booked a double with a single bed. the front desk did acknowledge it was their mistake and did correct it right away. the second room was much better and had more room. Overall the hotel was good and the room was nice. We tried the breakfast which was good but have had better. Few things we found odd with this hotel is that if we need to order coffee/tea in the morning, we had to wait until the bar opened which was around 10am. In addition, when I had to order for Ice, I had to go down to the bar area myself as room service is very limited in this hotel, and when I did request for ice at the bar, she told me that it was all melted. The room service (or the lack of it) was disappointing for me, but I guess you pay for the location of the hotel. The staff was helpful and understanding.
