Catalonia Square

A lil gem located in the heart of Barcelona. Swimming pool is awesome if you're traveling with children. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The restaurant serves delicious food. Walk to La Ramblas, Gothic Quarters. Short drive to beaches! Couldn't have asked for more!

Close to everything and a very clean and modern facility. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Be aware that larger cars cannot fit in the hotel garage, but they do have an accommodation option. Ours luckily did (a midsize hybrid SUV rental). We didn’t try the breakfast or dining, but the dining room looks lovely. The menu was a little limited if you have children. That being said, there are soooo many options right out the door. The room was lovely, albeit compact in a big city way. We had a family suite and our young daughters LOVED the bunk beds. The step up to the water closet and shower caused many a stubbed toe (more on us than the hotel!) but were very nice. The shower was one of the best I’ve seen in Europe—such great water pressure and a fantastic rain shower. I’d recommend to everyone.

Loved our stay! Staff was welcoming and helpful. Fantastic location. The airport aerobús dropped us off a block from the hotel. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. Love that they have a handheld as well as the rain shower head as it helps with bathing kids. The pool area was small but nice. Didn’t get to swim since it was too cold. There is a small gym which was nice. Best area I think as it was walkable to barrio gótico, sagrada family and la rambla. It also felt very safe. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. They had yogurt and great topping selections including chia seed. And smoked salmon, a coffee machine with various types of coffee selections. Rooms are not huge but we had enough space for a family of four. The beds were very comfortable. They brought us new towels even though we didn’t ask and one of the beds had railing guards even though we didn’t request them for the kids. Nice ambiance and decor. Just wonderful all around.

The staff were amazing and patient with our busy kids. They even packed our breakfast for our early flight!!

It is very well situated and it is new and convenient, but we had a problem with our kids' bunkbeds, they were not properly installed and the stairs fell on my girl when she was trying to climb it, that's when I noticed that all the instalation was not done properly and all the bunk beds were unatable. My girl hit herself very hard and I let the staff knlow so it won't happpen again because it was a very dangerous situation. They changed them the net day for rollaway beds beds and it was a better and safer option.

Lovely and quiet hotel despite it being in a central location. The room was very clean and spacious for our family of 4, with comfortable beds! The only thing I would add is a hook for the hand towel by the sink. Check-in was smooth and we were shown up to our room. The buffet breakfast was delicious, we recommend adding it! The outdoor pool was wonderful to cool off in. All the staff were pleasant. Great central location. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. The service was fantastic and the hotel was clean. Our family (2 kids) enjoyed the comfortable rooms.

During my recent stay at Catalonia Square Hotel, I encountered several frustrating issues that greatly affected my overall experience. While the hotel's location was convenient and the cleaning service was commendable, the numerous service failures overshadowed these positives. Upon arriving at the hotel after a long flight, my family and I were eagerly anticipating a smooth check-in process. However, we were met with disappointment when we were informed that our room was not ready and would require an additional hour of wait time. This was particularly challenging, as we had a tired toddler with us. Considering that we arrived after the designated check-in time, it was disheartening that our room was not prepared in advance. The hotel should have taken proactive measures to ensure a prompt check-in, especially considering the circumstances. Furthermore, we approached the hotel to request a taxi and were assured that the fare would range between 30-40 euros. Unfortunately, our experience with the taxi was far from satisfactory. The driver took advantage of our vulnerability as tourists and charged us an exorbitant 60 euros for a route that had no traffic. We expected better accountability from the hotel, as they were the ones who arranged the taxi and provided misleading information. This incident left us feeling taken advantage of and disappointed in the hotel's lack of responsibility.

Fantastic stay. Landed super early and showed up at the hotel with a very tired family from an overnight flight. They had our room ready and we were able to check in prior to 8 am! This was huge as the girls were able to relax and take a long nap before getting our day started. The front desk was extremely helpful with advice on things to do and where to go. Any requests we made were handled immediately and with a friendly smile. Excellent staff! Also, fantastic location. Steps from the Plaza, the A1 or A2 bus from the airport will drop you off literally steps from the hotel. The same plaza is a major stop for all the hop on and hop off sightseeing buses. Restaurants, shopping, etc… was within minutes as well. Can’t go wrong with this hotel. Would definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10!

Great hotel. Stayed in the family room, which was great. Pool is small but for the location, it’s worth it.
