Zafiro Rey Don Jaime

This was our second visit, the first being 5 years ago. It really lived up to our memory, lovely staff, great food and lovely hotel. Not much going on for kids (less than our last visit) so a good job my daughter is now 11 and quiet happy in the pool etc

Not normally one to post a review but felt this experience required one. We are a couple in our early 30's; arrived in the hotel room and had to spend an hour apologising to my girlfriend - the room was like something out of a 70's horror movie. There was just random cheap furniture that filled the room and provided no function. Our 'double' bed was two single's placed together, (and yes, they pulled apart all the time when on them). The pool area was shabby and the water ankle deep. The pool was closed at least once per day due to one of the hundred's of little children going to the toilet in it. The staff were miserable and the food was dire. I wasn't expecting the Ritz but I genuinely felt more comfortable when I was on tour in Afghanistan. I now owe my girlfriend another holiday this year - not impressed. Do not stay here, ever.
